Terms of Use

Last updated June 25, 2026

By installing or using the Cortex browser extension (the "Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Extension.

1. The service

Cortex adds a radial sharing menu to your browser that lets you share web pages, links, images, and selections to third-party networks. The Extension is provided free of charge for personal use.

2. Your accounts

When you connect a third-party network, you authorize Cortex to share content on your behalf through that network's official interface. You are responsible for the accounts you connect and for the content you choose to share. Your use of each network remains subject to that network's own terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Extension to share unlawful, infringing, or abusive content, or to interfere with the normal operation of any website or network. You are solely responsible for everything you post through Cortex.

4. Third-party services

Cortex links to and shares with third-party networks that we do not control. We are not responsible for their availability, content, or policies. Changes those networks make to their sharing interfaces may affect how Cortex works.

5. No warranty

The Extension is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every site or browser version.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cortex and its creator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
